Stop asking whether you’re ready. If GOD says you’re ready, you are ready. The only question left is whether you’ll move.

Pastor Hector Boucet traced the path the LORD has walked The Gathering Church down over three weeks. Prophet Nancy brought “Exposed to Dispose” — let MY light reveal what cannot remain. The following Sunday came “From Exposed to Repositioned” — because GOD does not expose HIS people to shame them, HE exposes them to transform them. And now the third and final word: from repositioned to released.

He warned against a Christian life that only ever receives. “You’re receiving because HE wants to send you out there now for you to give,” he said. When GOD heals you, the healing was never meant to end as a story about you. When HE restores you, the restoration has an assignment attached to it.

“For we are HIS workmanship, created in CHRIST JESUS for good works, which GOD prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

Ephesians 2:10

Notice the word created, Pastor Boucet said, pointing to Ephesians 2:10. “You are not an accident. You are not here by accident. You are not simply occupying a space.” Nobody was created merely to wake up, work, pay bills, go to church, and repeat the cycle — lo mismo, lo mismo, lo mismo. There is an assignment attached to every life in that room.

And when the season shifts, he urged the church not to misread it. “Don’t confuse repositioning with rejection.” Why did that relationship end? Why did that door close? Why am I in this season? Sometimes doors close because GOD was protecting something. Sometimes people leave because they could not go where GOD was taking you. Sometimes a season ends because another one is already being prepared. Joseph was thrown in a pit, sold into slavery, falsely accused, and imprisoned — and every step of it turned out to be the road to the palace.

Pastor Boucet turned to Isaiah 43:18-19 and landed on the word “behold” — which, he explained, simply means pay attention. Something is happening. “But here’s the problem. You cannot see the new things if you continue holding on to the old things.”

He got specific about what holding on looks like. Some seasons you need to stop revisiting. Some conversations you need to stop replaying. Some offenses you need to stop carrying. Some identities you need to stop wearing. “The old season is not your address anymore.” He compared confessed sin to a delete button GOD presses faster than we can imagine — permanently — and then asked why we keep going back to retrieve what HE already erased. “All you do is torture yourself.”

“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth.”

Isaiah 43:18-19

His counsel was to change the question entirely: “Stop asking, why did I lose it. Start asking, LORD, where are you positioning me?” You cannot walk forward while constantly looking back.

“Here’s where this becomes serious,” Pastor Boucet said. “You can be repositioned and still refuse to move.” Israel stood at the very edge of the promised land — the promise was there, the position was there — but somebody still had to take the step. There are moments when faith is not about praying one more prayer. It is about taking the next step, in obedience, and being a doer of the WORD rather than a hearer only.

He pointed to Acts 13:2, where the church was worshiping and fasting when the HOLY SPIRIT said, separate them for the work to which I have called them. They had been serving. They had been preparing. Then came the moment. “Preparation eventually becomes commission. There comes a time when you stop preparing and start going.”

Pastor Boucet spoke transparently about his own version of this. For years he sat in the congregation watching preachers and telling himself, I can’t do that — worried about preaching in English when Spanish comes far easier to him. “It took me a lot to understand that it’s not what you think you can’t do. If GOD is telling you that you can do it, you can do it.” The LORD’s answer to him was simple: do it your style, I’ll be molding you. So instead of asking “am I ready,” he urged the church to pray what Isaiah prayed — here am I, send me. Not send someone else. Not bless me. Send me.

He also cautioned against settling into a blessing. Quoting Matthew 5:14 — you are the light of the world, a city on a hill that cannot be hidden — he reminded the church that light was never meant to stay hidden. “Don’t build a house in a place GOD only sends you to pass through.” GOD blesses you and you stop serving. HE heals you and you stop reaching people. HE restores you and you stop testifying. HE opens the door and you forget who opened it.

Pastor Boucet closed by naming the whole progression out loud. Exposed. Disposed. Repositioned. And now released — released to worship, to serve, to love, to forgive, to witness, to disciple, to pray. “You are not going back,” he said. Not to the old identity, not to the old mindset, not to the old chains. From repositioned to released, the assignment is different for each person, and if you don’t yet know yours, it’s time to ask HIM. Because nothing changes until you decide to move.
