“For MY thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways MY ways.”

Pastor Boucet opened by reminding the congregation that we are born for one reason: to worship HIM. Every day brings situations that do not add up on our own terms, but he pointed the church back to a truth from the week before — GOD’s calculator does not work like ours. What looks impossible to us is never impossible for HIM.

Reading from Isaiah 55:8-9 (NKJV), he reminded everyone that GOD’s thoughts are not our thoughts, and HIS ways are not our ways. What we believe is impossible for us is possible for GOD — that, he said, is the main key to everything that follows.

The first thing GOD adds, Pastor Boucet preached, is HIS presence — and that is the one thing we are most tempted to leave out of our equation. Moses understood a secret many believers miss: the blessing was never the land, and it was never the victory. The blessing was GOD’s presence.

Israel was surrounded by enemies, lacking experience and resources, yet Moses declared, “If YOUR Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.” Pastor Boucet challenged the church to carry that same mindset into every room they enter — because when HIS presence is involved in the equation, everything changes. If HE is with us, who can be against us?

The second point turned to Romans 8:28 (NKJV): “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love GOD.” Pastor Boucet reminded the church that we often keep counting what we lost, while forgetting to count HIS presence in the middle of it.

He pointed to Joseph — slavery, false accusation, prison, everything looking like subtraction. But while Joseph thought GOD was delaying him, GOD was developing him. While Joseph thought GOD was removing things, GOD was positioning him. What feels like a setback, Pastor Boucet said, may actually be GOD’s setup. Your pain is not pointless. Your delay is not wasted. Your struggle is not permanent — GOD is adding purpose where you only see problems.

The third and final point brought the church to 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV): “MY grace is sufficient for you, for MY power is made perfect in weakness.” Pastor Boucet explained that when we feel too weak to carry on, that is exactly where HIS grace steps in. What we think we need is more strength, but what we actually need is more grace — and HE gives it, day after day, without fail.

2 Corinthians 12:9

He closed this point in Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV): “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Pastor Boucet shared how his own sister was told by three eye specialists, decades ago, that she would be blind within a year. Nearly fifty years later, she can still see. Faith, he said, sees what eyes cannot see.

Whatever number you have been carrying — a loss, a delay, a diagnosis, a closed door — GOD has never intended for you to live by your own calculator. HE intends for you to live by HIS Word, and HIS Word always adds up to more than we could ever count on our own.
