When GOD shines a light on something you’ve kept hidden, is HE trying to embarrass you — or free you? Pastor Hector Boucet answered that question head-on, carrying the congregation from being exposed to being repositioned.

Pastor Hector Boucet opened by pointing back to the word Prophet Nancy Castro had delivered the previous Sunday — a powerful message he called a divine process, not a one-time moment. GOD, he said, was preparing The Gathering Church for something greater, even before the congregation could see it. And there are many of us who know that GOD only shines the light — yet for some reason, we go out and come back again, seeking that same darkness.

Pastor Hector Boucet was careful to make one thing clear: when GOD exposes something in your heart, HE is not trying to embarrass you. What HE is trying to do is set you free. Ephesians 5:8 says it plainly — your past has no authority to define your future.

Pastor Hector Boucet’s first point was direct: GOD exposes what HE intends to remove. Nothing is hidden from HIM — you can hide something from people, from your spouse, from your pastor, even from yourself, but you cannot hide it from GOD. And the good news, he said, is that when GOD exposes something, HE is not discovering something new. HE already knows. The exposure is simply an invitation for you to deal with what HE has always seen.

What GOD exposes, Pastor Hector Boucet said, we cannot continue to excuse. Grace does not excuse sin — grace empowers us to overcome it. If GOD exposes unforgiveness, bitterness, pride, or a secret sin, the response is not to defend it or call it “just my personality.” It is to dispose of it, because you cannot carry yesterday’s baggage into tomorrow’s assignment.

But disposal is only half the work. Pastor Hector Boucet reminded The Gathering Church that GOD does not simply want to empty you — HE wants to fill you. Christianity is not only about getting rid of the bad; it is about filling that empty space with CHRIST. If GOD removes bitterness, fill that space with love. If HE removes fear, fill it with faith. If HE removes confusion, fill it with HIS word. Empty is not the goal — filled is the goal.

Pastor Hector Boucet closed with the heart of the message: GOD is repositioning The Gathering Church, but before HE can reposition the church publicly, HE has to prepare it privately. Before there is greater influence, there must be greater integrity. Before there is greater authority, there must be greater obedience. Before there is greater expansion, there must be greater unity. And before GOD puts something in our hands, HE wants to make sure HE has our hearts.

He urged the congregation not to be afraid of the light and not to fear what it reveals, because JESUS’ purpose is never destruction — it is redemption, restoration, transformation, and freedom. What GOD exposes today, he said, will become the testimony of tomorrow. The things you are ashamed of today can become the very testimony that sets somebody else free.
