GOD didn’t release you to stand still. Pastor Hector Boucet says the same voice that exposed, repositioned, and released you is asking one more question: will you respond?

Pastor Hector Boucet opened by naming his real concern — not what the church hears on a Sunday, but what happens once everyone walks out the door. “What is it that YOU want from these messages that I’m listening to?” he asked the room, because calling a WORD powerful on the way to the parking lot is not the same as responding to it. He tied the moment directly to a five-week prophetic thread: Prophet Nancy Castro’s “Exposed to Dispose,” followed by “From Exposed to Repositioned” and “From Repositioned to Released,” continuing just last week when Pastor Angel Luis Rosa preached from that same passage in 1 Samuel 3. “If we miss one of those links,” he said, “we’re going to get lost.”

He built the message on 1 Samuel 3, where Samuel was already serving in the house of GOD when GOD called his name. “GOD can call you where you already are,” Pastor Boucet said, pointing back to a recent gathering the church held at the river — GOD’s presence was every bit as real there as it is inside a building.

“Speak, LORD, for YOUR servant hears.”

Samuel answered, “Here I am,” the first time GOD called — but it took three calls before Eli realized GOD was the one speaking. Samuel was already positioned, already serving. He simply had not yet learned to recognize the voice of GOD. “How many of us are already positioned?” Pastor Boucet asked the church. “But he had not yet learned to recognize the voice of GOD.”

That, he said, is exactly where so many believers get stuck — not because they cannot hear GOD, but because they don’t want to listen in that particular moment, and they talk themselves out of it instead. He named the competing voices believers have to sort through every day: the voice of fear, the voice of the past, the voice of disappointment, the voice of people, the voice of insecurity — and underneath all of it, the voice of the HOLY SPIRIT. John 10:27 lays out the pattern in three words: hear, know, follow.

Pastor Boucet moved from hearing to obeying with a warning: “Don’t ask GOD to speak if you don’t intend to obey.” He described the pattern so many believers fall into — asking for one more confirmation, then another, then another, when what GOD is actually looking for is obedience, not reassurance. “You don’t need another confirmation,” he said. “You need obedience.”

He illustrated it with a story from the church’s trip to the river the day before: a man lost his wedding ring in the water and couldn’t stop thinking about it on the way home. So he stopped at a store — not to buy a replacement, but to buy a pair of goggles — and headed back to the river determined to find the actual ring, no matter what it cost him or how long it took. Before he ever got back in the water, someone else in the group had already found it. “Be intentional when you’re doing things,” Pastor Boucet said. “Have that heart of saying, no matter what, I’m going to go and I’m going to find it.” That same intentional, all-in posture, he said, is exactly what GOD is asking of the church — not just prayer, but prayer that turns into preparation, and preparation that turns into action.

He pointed to Isaiah 6:8 — “Here am I. Send me.” — and reminded the church that there comes a moment when prayer has to become obedience. Quoting James, he was direct: being a hearer of the WORD without being a doer of it is deceiving yourself.

“But be doers of the WORD, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”

Pastor Boucet turned to 1 Samuel 3:19 — the LORD was with Samuel as he grew, and let none of his words fall to the ground. Samuel’s response to GOD, he said, became his assignment. The boy who heard GOD became the prophet who spoke for GOD. “The encounter became a calling,” he said. “The calling became a ministry. And it started with, speak, LORD.”

He named what responding actually looks like in practice — not a vague feeling, but specific obedience: respond with service, respond with forgiveness, respond with prayer, respond with evangelism, respond with discipleship, respond with whatever gift GOD has already placed inside you. “Revelation without response doesn’t produce transformation,” he said. A believer can be exposed, disposed, repositioned, and released, and still remain standing at the door of their own assignment if they refuse the final step.

Before closing, Pastor Boucet led the whole congregation in a declaration out loud — one he asked them not to repeat unless they meant every word of it.

“I have been exposed. I have been repositioned. I have been released. And now I will respond.”
